Credits and data

An interactive browser expedition by Saurav. The terrain gives the setting; camps, crossings, ropes and many nearby details are authored interpretations. This is a game, not climbing guidance or a survey of the current route.

Terrain and route

Terrain produced using Copernicus WorldDEM-30 © DLR e.V. 2010-2014 and © Airbus Defence and Space GmbH 2014-2018 provided under COPERNICUS by the European Union and ESA; all rights reserved. Dataset and attribution.

Route and landmark data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License. The derived route dataset is provided under the same license. Local elevation adjustments, joins and crossing geometry are game interpretations.

Historical notes link to their sources in the Journey journal. Remembrance markers indicate broad areas; they do not claim precise locations of remains.

Rendering and sound

Rendering uses Three.js under the MIT license. Scenery and share-preview images are captures of this game's procedural scene.

Audio credits. Current wind, footsteps and interaction sounds are synthesized locally.
